Pasta in a colander set |
- Take a large vessel. In India kitchens our big pressure cookers are good.
- Let the water boil.
- Add pasta, and stir frequently for the first few minutes to make sure they don't stick.
- Add good amount of salt. Salt will help you keep pasta separate.
- People think adding oil does the trick, but this ain't rice so adding oil simply doesn't matter.
- Keep stirring intermittently and check if the pasta is cooked.
- Once cooked, dip the pasta into a colander set. (See the picture to know what a colander set is.)
- Continue with your recipe.
If you are going to follow your recipe later.
- Transfer pasta into a large vessel.
- Cool it under cold water.
- Add olive oil and toss the pasta.
- Right before you want to continue with your recipe reheat pasta in boiling water for 2 minutes.
